Lisette was a spring 2019 Rainbow Scholar completing an intense premedical post-baccalaureate program at the University of California-San Diego, with plans on applying to medical school the following June. Her dream job is to become a reproductive endocrinologist. One class she found interesting was Applications of Biology and Medicine, in which she learned about cardiovascular health and how to read electrocardiograms. She was even able to interpret her little brother’s ECG on a recent doctor’s visit. The Rainbow Scholarship allowed Lisette to take a break from work, focus solely on the high demands of the program, and study for the MCAT.
