Success Stories: Growth Through Education

Chamira lives at a Rainbow served property in Texas and recently reached a milestone that reflects steady commitment and persistence. After working through Rainbow’s GED preparation program, she earned her high school diploma from the State of Texas.

Her journey with Rainbow did not begin overnight. Like many residents, she took time to determine whether the programs offered would align with her goals. When she decided to begin working toward her GED, she committed fully. Math proved challenging, but she remained consistent and completed the program successfully.

Chamira currently works as a CNA and Medication Aid. With her diploma in hand, she began exploring how to build on her experience in the healthcare field. Through conversations with Rainbow’s Career Services team, she reviewed several certification pathways and identified Pharmacy Technician training as a strong next step. She is currently exploring a career training program for Pharmacy Technician, which aligns with her medical background and provides an opportunity to continue developing her skills in a field she already understands.

As part of her preparation, Rainbow assisted her with access to a computer to support her coursework, and she continues to work closely with Career Services to follow a structured career guidance plan.

During a recent meeting with Rainbow staff, Chamira shared her excitement about what lies ahead. In addition to career development, she is working toward long term goals that include greater financial stability and homeownership. Together, she and the Career Services team are taking a comprehensive approach to identify the tools and resources that will support her vision for the future.

Her story reflects what steady effort can accomplish over time. She moved from earning her GED to mapping out a healthcare certification pathway and setting clear goals for her future. The next chapter is still unfolding, and she is continuing to take intentional steps forward.

We are honored to walk alongside residents like Chamira as they define and pursue their own goals.
