Success Stories: Turning Challenges into Opportunities

We are honored to share with you the story of one of our wheelchair-assisted seniors who overcame an uphill challenge this year. This resident received a wheelchair to support their mobility and independence in 2019. Unfortunately, after several years of wear and tear, the wheelchair was being held together with rubber bands.
After working with their Rainbow Resident Services Coordinators (RSC), it became apparent to the RSC that some effort was needed to advocate for the resident. After numerous back and forths between the insurance provider, primary care physician, and a local medical equipment business - our senior has a repaired wheelchair at no cost to them! Now, they are better able to stay mobile, be connected with their social group, and they have kept their sense of freedom! Finally, they wanted to share their gratitude - "Thank you to Rainbow and my RSC for not giving up on me!"
