Three years ago, Rainbow Housing Assistance Corporation launched a program to help connect the residents of the low-income communities that it serves to educational opportunities by helping fund those endeavors. This program, envisioned by Rainbow’s Board of Directors, rewards drive and determination by making the dream of specialized training or a degree a reality.
Rainbow believes that a good education is a critical component to breaking the cycle of poverty and placing residents on a realistic path to self-sufficiency. Backing up those beliefs, the Rainbow Scholars program will make funds available for educational and job readiness programs to qualified low-income individuals.
At the 2015 Annual Awards Banquet, supporters of Rainbow Housing Assistance Corporation pledged over $100,000 to the Rainbow Scholars program.
