Rainbow Housing Assistance Corporation (Rainbow) builds coalitions, supplementing programs with expertise from local business leaders, state and federal compliance groups, and charitable organizations.

Employment
Rainbow’s Direct-to-Professional Career Training helps residents build meaningful careers and long-term economic stability through personalized, hands-on support. In partnership with Auburn University, residents receive high-quality online training in fields like health, technology, business, and education—plus a laptop, expert instruction, and a local externship that can lead to a job offer. Rainbow further supports participants with one-on-one career coaching, industry-recognized certifications, professional development, and job placement assistance, connecting residents to trusted employers and clear pathways to lasting success.

Education
Rainbow’s Education Support programs equip residents of all ages with the tools and guidance to learn, grow, and succeed. Adults can earn a high school diploma through Rainbow’s free, self-paced GED program, access ESL and language services to build communication and workforce skills and receive support and resources on the path to citizenship. For youth, Rainbow provides free one-on-one online tutoring through Learn To Be and SAT/ACT preparation through Khan Academy, helping students build confidence, remove barriers, and strengthen families and communities.
Senior Services
Rainbow’s senior-focused services help older adults age with confidence, dignity, and connection. Through health and wellness education, financial resources, social programming, and accessible LINK technology, seniors can stay engaged, manage daily needs, access care, and build meaningful connections. Live online workshops, weekly LINK Live Fitness classes, and senior-focused edutainment events further support active, connected living and a strong sense of community.

Community Stabilization
Rainbow’s Outreach Center connects residents to life-changing services through proactive, relationship-driven support. Beginning with a personal phone call, residents are connected to trusted local and national partners that provide food, employment assistance, financial aid, mental health services, and crisis support. Transportation barriers are reduced through partnerships offering free rides to healthcare, training, and education appointments, while food support programs strengthen neighborhoods, expand access to nutritious food, and promote long-term community stability.
Rainbow Live WRAP Workshops
Rainbow’s Live WRAP Workshops offer flexible, accessible learning through high-quality live and on-demand workshops tailored to community needs. Residents can participate in live virtual sessions on topics like health, wellness, budgeting, credit, and long-term planning, or learn at their own pace with on-demand courses focused on job readiness, crisis preparation, and personal growth. As part of Rainbow’s LINK programming, WRAP helps residents build confidence, gain practical skills, and move closer to their goals.
