1st Annual EmbRACE a Better Future 10K/5K – RESULTS

Thanks to our sponsors, donors, volunteers, participants, and supporters the 1st Annual EmbRACE a Better Future 10K/5K Run/Walk surpassed our expectations. We were warned that for a first race, not to expect more than a 100 participants; we had 149 register. We were advised to expect to lose money or at most break even on our first race; we raised over $5,000. We started this endeavor with zero volunteers and began our race day with 22 extremely helpful, hard-working, and indispensable volunteers. All participants were offered the amazing opportunity to partake in the services of the four volunteer massage therapists. We offer our most sincere Thank You to all involved that made our inaugural event a success. All proceeds will be put to good use expanding our programs and services to connect those we serve to opportunities to become self-sufficient, end the cycle of poverty, and achieve their life goals.
