Rainbow Housing Assistance Corporation (Rainbow), in cooperation with Equality Community Housing Corporation (Equality), proudly announces the Grand Re-Opening of Lakeline apartments. Lakeline, located in Leander, Texas, is a 264-unit complex comprised of a series of 11 buildings spanning nearly 30 acres. Equality finished its acquisition of the property earlier this summer and has selected Rainbow as its service-enriched housing model provider.
Georgia Marshall has been brought on board as the full-time Resident Services Coordinator for the Lakeline community. Programming will focus heavily on youth enrichment being within one-half mile of two elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school.
Summer activities include Spanish language classes as well as programs on exercise and healthy eating. With the first day of school on August 22, Georgia is preparing to work with the children by providing after school homework instruction. With the help of a volunteer, she will be monitoring exam scores and subject grades to ensure above-average performance in school.
Lakeline also has several amenities onsite that help students maintain a healthy body when the homework is complete. To help get the children moving, the community provides a pool, playground, and basketball court.
