Kansas City, KS – Delavan Townhomes in Kansas Hires Rainbow
Rainbow Housing Assistance Corporation (Rainbow) is proud to announce that beginning in April 2013 its service-enriched housing model will be deployed in Kansas. In this agreement, Rainbow has been hired to provide an educational afterschool program for the youth of Delavan Townhomes. In addition, Rainbow will manage a food pantry for residents, partnering with local organizations to promote healthy cooking and eating options.
Located in the historic Quindaro neighborhood, Delavan Townhomes is an affordable 51-unit community that offers 2- and 3-bedroom homes, professionally managed by Kay-Kay Management Services. Situated within a few miles of Quindaro Elementary, Eisenhower Middle School, and Washington High School, the onsite Resident Services Coordinator will staff an afterschool resource center working directly with the youth on excelling in academic pursuits in addition to inspiring active lifestyles.
